In a nutshell…. I’m an early 30-something year old enjoying making a life with my husband, Justin and our two young kids E and P in the city of Milwaukee, WI.
I opened a brick and mortar modern fabric studio in July 2010 only to have it close in Dec 2011 due to a variety of reasons. I still have an etsy store selling fabric by the yard and have since opened another etsy store selling custom curtains and other home dec items. Although closing the store was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, I now realize it couldn’t have been a better thing for me. I am able to balance staying home with my kids and get my creative outlet and am busier than ever.
I post my random thoughts, finds, and crazy plans on my blog. I don’t claim to have all the answers and you may sometimes disagree with me but I hope you come along with me and enjoy the ride. Enjoy!

~I LOVE coffee-preferably soy lattes with just a smidge of chocolate
~I PREFER local coffee shops to Starbucks, Anodyne is my favorite
~I LAUGH when people tell me that I’m outgoing and make friends easily, in REALITY I pretty much would be happy staying at home living in my comfy pants. I HAVE PPD-although I really think I’ve been a little depressed for as long I can remember but I finally sought treatment after having my 2nd little one.
~I WOULD LOVE to have another child, but the thought of them outnumbering me and my husband scares me to death so I think we’ll stick with two
~I DON’T EAT a lot of meat-I’ve gone through a couple of vegetarian periods in my life and rarely eat meat-you’d think I’d be skinny, (well I thought I should be with the way I eat) but no such luck. WORKING on changing that.
