Meet Kara! Seamstress extraodinaire
A Little Bit About Kara…
Some of my earliest memories as a little girl were dozing off at naptime to the hum and whirr of my mom sewing away. It is one of the many skills I am very thankful to have learned from her. (I wish I could say the same about cooking- sorry, mom!)
After leaving the corporate world when our son Jackson was born, I finally had time to dust off my machine and start creating. My husband has been a huge encouragement as I’ve started my little sewing business, Jumping Jack Crafts.
Where’d the name come from, you ask? When Jack was a baby, I’d get quite a bit of sewing done while he was jumping in the jumperoo. Now that he’s 4, the name still fits- he is always jumping. On the bed, off the couch, you name it. In July 2011 we added baby Anna to our clan and she has now taken over the jumperoo…and my only sewing time is when the kiddos are sleeping.
I am very excited that I will now be sharing my love for sewing with Danielle and Drawstring Studio, as we put our heads together on some custom home decor fun!
Meet Megan! My Right Hand Man!
Hey there world! My name’s Megan and have always been interested in the process of making things. That curiosity recently lead me to get my BFA in photography at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. While I love digital photography I also love working with the film process and seeing images develop. Throughout my life of making things, sewing was always something I have been intimidated by. So, I am taking the plunge and learning to sew if it kills me..or I kill my sewing machine 
I love being surrounded by creative people and am so excited to be a part of the Drawstring Team!
